Review

If you read only one book this year, it MUST be this one. If I could give it a six out of five, I would. This book is well written, the characters are real, and the emotions are intense. The author sheds light on the issue of systemic racism in America in a refreshing way. I felt so much for these characters. By the end, it made me want to run outside, stop traffic, and yell from the middle of the street about the injustices against people of color. Her words moved me and that made this book amazing.
